Message from the Dean - July 17, 2023

Hello, CALS,

About a month to go until students start to roll back onto campus and the pace and pulse of the academic year returns! In the meantime, we're thick into summer - vacations, field work, conferences, etc. This week I'll spend a day in southwest Iowa visiting alumni and friends of the college, and I know lots of you have been attending the field days at our many terrific farms across the state.

Whatever you're up to these days, enjoy your work and the beautiful landscapes and communities all around us.

Have a great week! - Dan

Last Wednesday evening, with senior executives from Kent Corporation, we officially lit-up the new signage on the Iowa State University Kent Feed Mill and Grain Science Complex! Upcoming is the ribbon cutting for the facility on Sept. 8.

Summer daisies are in full bloom, along with many other flowers. Take a walk around campus and take in the colorful blooms all around.
