Hello CALS Colleagues,
Welcome back to campus if you have been working remotely. Please find time to visit with your colleagues and enjoy some camaraderie. Before long, our hallways and classrooms will be brimming with students, and we’ll have our Cyclone energy back on campus at full power. In Curtiss Hall, we’ve been enjoying hosting incoming students and families in the Dolezal Auditorium for Iowa State Orientation programming. A special shout out to the CALS Student Services team and CALS departmental advisers, faculty and staff for their great work in welcoming these incoming students.
I hope you had a great, long holiday weekend enjoying some of your favorite summer rituals! Of course, it’s always a great time for a cook-out and ice cream. If you missed those summer foods over the July 4th holiday, stop by the Iowa State University Meats Lab store in the Kildee Hall atrium and the ISU Creamery in 2953 Food Sciences Building and pick up some good stuff for the grill and dessert!
Wishing you all the best and please let me know what you’re thinking. - Dan
